Our quirks, our smiles, and how we react to the surprises life has to offer are just a few things that define us as individuals. As a lifestyle photographer, I capture and preserve both big and small moments. These images reflect my fine arts background.

Photography, to me, is a combination of technique and passion for the art form. I specialize in portraiture of all ages, wedding day documentaries, and fine art photography.

Although Marnie never knew them in the flesh, she is proud to be a third generation photographer. Her grandfather owned Dick Palen Photography in Edina, Minnesota and her great grandfather owned McCollum's Photography in Albany, Georgia.

With a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oregon, Marnie was inspired to study photography and expand her artistic vision. In August 2003, MJFotography was born. It was a workshop on the Big Island o f Hawaii that led to her first gallery show. "Journey of the SOul" opened in May of 2003 at the Rogue Buddha Gallery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
