Biography
Although Marnie never knew them in the flesh, she is proud to be a third generation photographer. Her grandfather owned Dick Palen Photography in Edina, Minnesota and her great grandfather owned McCollum's Photography in Albany, Georgia.
With a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oregon, Marnie was inspired to study photography and expand her artistic vision. It was a workshop on the Big Island of Hawaii that led to her first gallery show. "Journey of the Soul" opened in May of 2003 at the Rogue Buddha Gallery in Minneapolis, MN.
Marnie officially started up MJFotography in 2001 specializing in both portraiture and wedding photography. She looks forward to unlimited possibilities and continued success for MJFotography, Inc.
